Sarah celebrated her sixth birthday today with her besties at Skate World. Here she is when the DJ had everyone sing Happy Birthday to her. She has shed the little from her title so gracefully this past year, and is quickly blooming into a full on school aged kid these days…
From our corner lot home, if you stood just right, you could look left and see a moving van and look to the right and see a moving van today.
Before we entered the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago, we swapped family snapshots with another visiting family. I didn't think we needed anymore shots of zebras or tigers so I had left my camera in the truck, but Andy quite enjoys shots of sleeping tigers from zoo to zoo, so here's his sportscar cam version of our family:
Can you tell it was kind of chilly there?
I have to admit it, at the end of the day, I'm glad he brought his camera to document our visit, too.
Another top priority place to visit (for me) (everyone else in my party could care less) was the cool mirrored bean-shape sculpture in Millennium Park known as Cloud Gate. It was teeming with tourists and other varieties when we arrived, which totally disappointed me. But really, what could I expect? It was a long holiday weekend in the middle of a beautiful spring day.
One of our priority places to visit in Chicago was Gino's East- apparently the best pizza on earth (or in Chicago, at least). We waited in line about 40 minutes, ordered and waited another 45 minutes for the deep dish pie and really, the best pizza on earth. We were pleased. ANd bonus, Andy loves the Blue Moon beer.
