Under there is a dining room table.
It’s been in this state for about a week now.
I had the brilliant idea that I could handle pull off making two out of three costumes for my kids this year.
And little by little I did.
Of course, every great (or mediocre) Halloween costume has some story to tell behind it, right?
Like, hey, let’s add a bird’s nest to the already questionable bird costume that I’m making up as I go along (Martha’s instructions weren’t clear enough for me to follow along).
With a sewing maching that doesn’t flippin’ work.
No seriously, it does not work. The end.
Something about thread, bobbins and tension. All verbage not in my limited sewing vocabulary apparently.
Thank you, God, for the invention of hot glue and embroidery floss, and friends that let me borrow their machine because you saved the little bit of sanity I hold onto.
The dining room will be moonlighting as a studio tomorrow, she should be back to her normal state by Tuesday.
Here’s hopin’.

Any costume that includes a giant poof of tule (like you have in the middle of the table there) is a costume of promise and wonderfulness.
Still can’t wait to see the end result!
I love it! Looks like my table so many years ago. Ok almost everyday of the week……
O fun memories of halloween..!!! lol
You are a brave woman! I am super impressed with you even attempting to make costumes. . . and all that labor of love will certainly make the cutest costumes ever. Can’t wait for the reveal!
Ohhhhhhh I can’t wait to see this creative masterpiece! Or did you make all three?? Don’t keep us waiting for long.
My costumes always look better in my mind… pulling them off in real life seem to be my problem.
