Halloween Round-Up

Since it’s virtually Christmas, I thought I better hurry and get some trick-or-treating pictures up around here! The girls had a wonderful evening on Beggar’s Night last Saturday. I didn’t post a shot of all three of them last time, this is a “traditional” get together for mom’s non-existent family scrapbook now. But, it’s  nice to have on hand when I’m 75 and have lots of time for my other hobbies, right?

_MG_9581-EditI had already taken pictures of their costumes on another day so we wouldn’t have to hold up the crew too long. So… they were off!!

Untitled-9Untitled-10It’s pretty cool catchng up with friends in the neighborhood, too. Here the girls are with the Johnson girls: a zombie bride , azombie cheerleader and Sponge Bob!

One of the girls’ favorite pit stops was at Ryan and Corrie’s house- how can they resist a lady dressed as a banana??

We caught up with with my friend Denee’ and her Snow White and Indian Jones:

Untitled-12** on the other side of the bag that Denee’ is carrying, it says “Matilda Jane”- I like to call her my personal Trunk Keeper!

I love seeing other people’s jack-o-lanterns. So much creativity!

Untitled-14The evening sky was remarkable. I wish I could capture it the way I saw it. Beautiful. Rich. Vast.

A couple of final trick-or-treat shots- there was this scary masked dude hanging out and Asheligh had absolutely no fear and walked right up to him- he’s a little too freaky deaky for me, so I kept my distance:

_MG_9686-EditI saw the light shine on this pumpkin and took a shot while the owner stood at the door in the background. She obviously had a knack for decorating so I told her so, and added this would be a good photo shot. And added, “Turn your flash off.” I wonder when I’m going to get punched for unsolicited camera advice?

That concludes the party around the neighborhood to collect candy loot. Don’t worry, we’re still enjoying the girl’s efforts and probably will be eating candy until Easter candy arrives.

It’s funny to see pictures of the girls trick or treating when it is still light out. We always wait until its dark.
