Ten on Tuesday

1. I signed up to bring Ashleigh’s snack for AWANA tomorrow night about three months ago. 45 cups of red jello later, I forgot to add in the gummy worm before they set. Arg.

2. A couple of weeks ago, the girls and I took care of some cats that live around the corner. I couldn’t remember the names of the cats, so every time we went over, we would rename them. Snowy and Tabby kind of stuck (they were white and orange-ish respectively), come to find out that their names were as normal as Diego and Anni.

3. I found a Christmas CD that had a cartoonish looking angel on the front so I assumed it was a kids’ Christmas CD. Wrong. All saxaphone, slow moving tunes. Perfect for snowy cold, locked-in-your-house holiday days.

4. Good transition to announce that Dayton’s cold weather has arrived. Oh joy.

5. Andy keeps comparing winter weather in our next town to the current weather in Dayton. Not much of a difference in degrees. Bah humbug. Brrr!

6. Sarah had four pairs of jeans to begin the school year with. I’m down to three. It’s either go shopping for more cold weather clothes (yes!) or do more laundry (bah humbug).

7. Do I sound grouchy tonight, or what?

8. I have a couple of books lined up after I close up shop on the 13th. I’m a little bit looking forward to long cold days of nothing to do outside in Dayton for five months and my books. At least that’s how I remember my addiction to Twilight last winter.

9. Our small group just began a new study on Daniel called The Restoration of a Sinner by John MacArthur. I’m super excited about being in the Old Testament this next season. The Bible is applicable to so many current events in our lives. Amazing.

10. Are you participating in Marie’s {12 days ’til Christmas?}? I’ve had no personal photography plans as of late so I’m giving it a go beginning  December 14th. Stay tuned :O)

This sight made me laugh at a recent visit to Bass Pro in Cincinnati- because what immediately went through my head was, I better put the camera down and teach this girl how to hold a rifle – or my dad will get on my case.

More on that visit soon :)

You know your next town already? Does Andy finish up next spring? I gotta say, we’ve got you beat on the cold. . . our high today was in the negatives. And the low last night was -31. I guess I should expect it in Montana, and all, but jeez–it’s so cold!

Weren’t YOU the one who originally started 12 days? Have I thanked you for that lately? Because it has become one of my favorite things ever :)

Are you telling what your new town is? I wouldn’t wish North Dakota on you, because our difference in degrees would HURT, even compared to Ohio. I am starting to understand the whole “We spend the whole winter in our jammies” statements!

We’ll try 12 days over here too… hope the next 12 are a bit mellower than the last four, or it might be tricky ;)

My fingers are crossed that your new town starts with a “D” and ends with “es Moines”. :D A girl can wish, right?

Love it! Glad my hubby taught my kids how to hold one long ago. Pink just makes it more fun too.
