1. I was thinking today that my iPhone needs a Netflix app. How cool would that be? I hope there is one – maybe I search one out?
2. I do not want to admit how many calories I have deposited in my body today. PW has this amazingly fantastic recipe for a variation of peach crisp and as I was serving it to my family tonight, I asked, “Would you like some fat on fat?” I have some dessert guilt, I think.
3. We are having a splendid time with my parents and my aunt visiting. They kept us up way too late playing their new favorite game: Mexican Train Dominoes. There was a point in last night’s game where this was my train and we all had a good laugh. If you know how to play, you know this is a miserable way to start a round.

4. I am convinced that I love the fall most around here, but when you see things budding every which way, Spring creates a unique season all of itself. I saw these at a neighbors house yesterday and had to grab a shot- I love calla lilies until death do us part.

5. I ordered a cute coffee cozy several weeks ago and haven’t yet received it so I did a little rereading and found out that I ordered it from D’Entrecasteaux Channel. Yes, google that and you will know why it’s not here. ha. Maybe I should do a little fine print reading before hitting the buy button?
6. Speaking of shopping- my parents were all giddy with delight over the pet clothing store in our local outdoor mall. The girls kept presenting little toys and treats that they could take home to their beloved Grace and Roxie (the dogs). “Do you think she will like this Grammy?”

7. I love freshly sharpened pencils.
8. The girls wanted some ice cream and my folks were happy to oblige. Ritter’s is a frozen custard shop just around the corner. It is fairly popular during the summer months… and as soon as the weather hits 47 degrees…

9. Andy got the go ahead to turn his thesis in FOR REAL today. So, after next week’s graduation, he’s done done done. Yippee!
10. I bookmarked this blog post by jesh de rox (wedding photographer) months and months ago because his words hit a chord in my heart and led me to do a little introspective review of where God had me and to be honest with where I was last summer. I meant to share it here, but if you have a few minutes, it’s worth a read over.
With that, happy Tuesday, friends!

#9- Congrats Andy!
#10- thanks for the link. I really needed to read that.
I read that blog and let me tell you that I really needed to hear it. Thanks for sharing Susie. I find myself in completely unchartered waters these days with my divorce behind me and taking on the challenges of single motherhood, as well as dating a man with his own kids. It presents it’s own challenges, but the risks are absolutely worth the rewards.
I have heard nothing but fun things about Mexican Domino Train. Must try it out. And I love the fact that you caught your Aunt still licking ice cream off
I don’t know why, but I don’t like games. Nope, not a game person. I cringe when game playing is suggested at get-togethers. I think it’s because I don’t like learning the “rules” for anything.
BUT if I am to play a game, it must be fairly simple. So tell me, is Mexican Dominos something I might want to give a try? Or will it make my head explode?
ok, so….i am attempting to type this through tears. wow, that link to the blog from Jesh took me for a loop I was not expecting this morning. however, this i know….God is good! All the time!! He knew that it was there, ready for me to read and I needed to hear it. Mostly for two reasons: one, being where I am right now, is hard. I am sure everyone can relate, but I find myself “waiting” for my real life to start. Being on the otherside, for sometime now, of an ugly divorce, and difficult marriage, with two small boys, I think, “ok, Lord, things are going to start here soon…right?” I have only recently been realizing (through this and a few other pointed situations) this is my life. At least for right now. Secondly, it has been brought to my attention, recently, that I am somewhat “rigid” in my beliefs and Christianity. Huh. My response….”Yep, I am” This is ok with me. I am 100%, no apologies, un-compromising, a follower of Jesus Christ and all the things that I have to “give-up” or take a stand for are worth it. No apologies. No regrets. No denial. Thanks Sus. Little did you know……Jesus needed you today, for me. Love you.
Well not sure if the coffee cozy will show up before it is time to start ordering iced coffees….that is a long ways to ship something!!! I love love love nice fresh sharpened pencils too!!!!
Ritters, MMMMMMM! I miss the chocolate peanut butter custard! Seeing the picture of your family brings back to many wonderful memories at that same stand!
